The Shadows in the Halls
A pill, a promise, a fleeting glow, Like whispers where the shadows grow. The lockers stand, their mouths sealed tight, Guarding secrets from the light. The air feels heavy, thick as stone, A silent weight, a world unknown. The walls weep softly, their voices low, For dreams that falter, hopes that go. Eyes once bright now dim and stray, Lost in clouds that steal the day. The bell rings out, a hollow call, Echoing through the empty hall.
