The Shadow's A OK R I. I met my shadow in The Lounge down In downtown In a lounge named "Fade Away," He was sitting At a square table Sipping a glass of A OK. He held a thin cigarette In his left hand Using yesterday As an ashtray. He was wearing a Frank Zappa T shirt And a pair of size Medium jeans He was wearing Sneaky sneakers And I know what Those sneakers mean. II I shook the Left hand of My shadow And he said to me "Have a seat." After I sat he asked If I liked the car I was Driving I replied "It's better than driving My feet." "You always were almost Funny." I replied "That's because My nerves Get on my nerves." My shadow asked if I was hungry. I said, " I just ate My just desserts" Then I asked if I could Ask him some questions He replied "As long as it doesn't hurt." III. Then I peppered him With several questions He listened as a Sympathetic soul He said he liked Hanging around me Except when I Lose control IV. I asked if he had Any suggestions He replied, "No, you're an ok good guy." "I just want to tell you That I am retiring And I think I'll give magic a try." I wished him good luck With his magic He told me not To stress too much. He told me I'd be getting
