the shadow of transformation
The weight of burdens, heavy and vast, A silent storm that gathers fast, Inside a soul, once light and free, A transformation, for all to see. The laughter fades, a distant chime, Replaced by shadows, lost in time, The eyes that sparkled, bright and bold, Now hold a story, yet untold. The smile, once easy, warm and bright, Now strained and weary, lost in night, A heavy cloak, a somber guise, Concealing pain, beneath the skies. The gentle touch, the playful jest, Replaced by silence, put to rest, A fortress built, of fear and doubt, Where hope once bloomed, now withered out. But deep within, a flicker stays, A ember burning, through the haze, A silent prayer, a whispered plea, For strength to rise, and to be free. For even in the darkest night, A spark can ignite, a guiding light, And though the path may seem unclear, Change can bring healing, and hold dear.
