the scary universe
The sky is not a friendly blue, It's black and deep, a hungry view. No soft lamp hangs up in the air, Just burning balls that do not care. The stars are not like glitter dust, They're bombs of fire, quick to burst. They rush and crash and never stop, A billion angry, fiery drop. The planets spin on wobbly wire, In endless dark, away from fire. A silent cold that steals the breath, A wide, wide space that smells of death. There are black holes that eat the light, A hole in all things, dark as night. They pull and tear, they twist and stretch, A horrible and deadly wretch. The universe is sharp and vast, A place where nothing good can last. It has no heart, it has no mind, Just danger for all humankind. A scary void, a terrible place, With no soft corner, no warm space. It is not cute, it is not kind, Just power that will crush and grind.
