The Scars On My Skin
He said he didn't like the scars on my skin. I had looked at him with eyes full of hurt. He said he was sorry. But what he really said is, he doesn't like my story. He doesn't like what made me, me. He doesn't like the hurt I went through and survived. He doesn't like my past. He doesn't like my present. He had said as we laid there. I don't like the scars on your skin. He had not tried to help. I am proud of my strength, my battle and my scars. I won my battle, even if it is reoccurring. When he said He didn't like the scars on my skin. He said he didn't love me.
