The Safest Place
The safest place in me is outside my head. Do not wander in, do not test its doors— they creak with riddles and lock themselves behind you. Inside, the walls are shifting, a jigsaw with missing pieces, edges sharp as broken glass, pictures that never come together. Every corridor bends into another, a labyrinth that circles back to where you began— but darker, heavier, louder. There is a storm without sound here, a noiseless cacophony raging, waves that break but never crash, screams muffled in velvet silence. It is not a place for the weak, not a place for the curious. It devours wanderers whole, and spits them out as echoes. So if you love me, stay outside my head. The safest part of me is the smile I show, the calm you see. But beyond the veil a place I walk alone, because only I know the way back. @datbrodaman
