The Roads of Wanderers
I wander far where skies unfold, Beneath the sun, the world so bold. Each step a whisper, each turn a plea, To search for places wild and free. The winds they speak, the rivers sing, Of lands untouched by sorrow’s sting. I chase the light, embrace the dawn, But never look too deep or long. For roads are wide and hearts can stray, Lost in the endless dance of day. A traveler’s soul must guard the core, Shielded from all it once adored. With every journey that I take, A part of me I still forsake. The world outside may tempt, may call, But my heart stays hidden, safe from all. So let the stars above me gleam, I’ll wander onward, but still dream. The world may touch, but never see, The secret I’ve locked, the part of me.
