"The Road to You"
Whose path shall I watch for, as I stand, Eyes searching the horizon, heart in hand? A road unseen, a journey untold, I wait for you, in the silence cold. With every step, I hope to hear, The sound of your footfall drawing near, But shadows stretch, the hours grow long, And still, I wait, though I don't belong. The skies may change, the stars may fall, But it's your name I still recall, In every whisper, in every sigh, In the spaces where dreams drift and die. Whose eyes will catch mine and say, That love, at last, has found its way? The road is empty, the waiting hard, But in my heart, you're not far. So I wait, with no end in sight, For the one who'll fill my darkest night, Whose path will cross, whose love will rise, Until then, I'll wait beneath the skies.
