The Road Czars' Parade
The Road Czars' Parade by Jack A.S. Dunce The city streets were rumbling loud With varying kinds of cars That swelled into a bustling crowd Of ill-tempered road czars. Each riding high on right-of- way They all believed they had; Their horns they kept blasting away -- Even the deaf went mad. And when the traffic light broke down, The streets became gridlocked As everybody wore a crown And most shouted and squawked. Amidst the chaos breaking out, The traffic lights awoke But nobody saw through the bout Of rage the roads evoked. As vultures circled overhead, The roads remained rage-red. ©️pgmr 01/31/2025
