The Road Ahead

We used to sit in school Trading snacks nd breaking rules Running wild, no thought ,no fear joking and laughing out loud with everyone near these laughs and days felt like years Back then, our dreams were drawn in chalk We played and sometimes we’d sit and talk But now the world feels more alive We’re older and now we arrive Our friends have changed, we see it now The same old faces different somehow They’ve grown like us nd they talk less loud They’re chasing things they’re making vows Our parents too, they’re not the same Less fire now more gentle flame We used to think they’d never age But now we turn another page And us? We’re bigger not just tall We think we plan, we feel it all We see the world with open eyes No longer kids, we realize Things are clearer, not so blurred The dreams we whispered now need words No more waiting, no more doubt It’s time to step in ,to figure it out We’ve got no map, but we’ve got drive We’re here, we’re real, we’re still alive So let’s grow up, but not grow cold Let’s chase the future strong not bald 😝yet bold Now we see, we’ve grown, we trust The past made us nd The future’s us
