The Revival
When I looked into your eyes, I saw myself but without my I jave emptied the sun of it's warmth To this day only I reflect properly And carrying tears of years Tears who wish to be put to rest Tears who wish to be held in the sockets they were forced so deep into The oblivion of others fed my oblivion A spiral of sounds and colors delicately created meaning Since flying, such meaning has died and I find that I have not aged since my descent into utter madness cloaked by the guile and shame of judgement To reckon with my soul, one so recently discovered To let the disaster feel so powerfully To perhaps one day realize I have worth To be adorned with the grace that must be spread through years of guilt, shame, and terror It was so scared the thoughts were banished What it thought was love was control But here I sit, around so many who love me and I contemplate if I deserve such love Though I have grown, I have lacked age In terror I am selfish In hatred I am alone In smiles I am lost But the joy of others, community, so bright and fresh instills a longing so deep that I crumble before my own kindness Do the Gods and Goddesses fathom Raptures or simple psychedelic lovers
