THE QUIETEST SCREAM
My soul's worn thin, like weathered stone life's weight has pressed me, to the bone i've learned to let go, of bitter spite and wish no harm, in the dark of night i just need space, to breathe, to be to heal the cracks, in me a quiet refuge, from the world's din where i can mend, and learn to begin but the ghosts of pain, they linger on echoes of memories, that refuse to be gone i yearn for solitude, a shield to hide from the noise, the hurt, the world's divide in this fragile state, i'm finding my way through the shadows, to a brand new day where forgiveness whispers, a gentle breeze and the weight of others, slowly releases i'm not the same, i'm worn and weak but in this silence, i'll find my unique path forward, through the darkest night and learn to love, the light that's left in sight.
