The Quiet Life of Me
I live where the quiet feels like home, In corners where I’m most alone. Not lonely — just breathing space, A world untouched by the noisy race. I watch more than I speak, And when I speak — it runs deep. My mind’s a maze of quiet thought, A hundred battles you never caught. I live in corners, soft and still, Where I can breathe and just be real. A book, a song, a little space, That’s how I find my safest place. People say, “Come out of your shell,” But this shell? This is where I dwell. It’s not fear — it’s how I breathe, Where I recharge and just believe. I love deeply, but I keep it low, Not every feeling’s meant to show. And though I’m quiet, don’t mistake: There’s a fire in me you won’t easily fake. So don’t mistake my calm for fear, I live out loud, just not out here. And though I walk the world unseen, There’s a whole universe inside of me.
