The Quiet Habit
The Quiet Habit I wake up every day like I forgot something important but I don’t know what it is. The room is the same, the walls haven’t moved, yet something inside me never came back last night. People talk about time healing things. I’ve watched time pass. It didn’t heal. It just taught me how to hide the limp. I smile when I’m supposed to. I laugh at the right places. But inside, it feels like standing in a crowd while slowly disappearing Still, I breathe. Not because I’m strong, but because even a dead soul has habits it hasn’t learned to break yet. And maybe that’s enough for now.
