The Prophecy
Strong, independent woman As what my friends always say Because I never needed someone I do things on my own way I guess that impression is my defense that no one knew As much as I try to hide it I still wish it wasn't true Am I destined to be alone Is my cruel fate been sealed I said I didn't need someone But can this lonely heart be healed? In my solitude, I wonder When will it be my turn? To be loved and cared for deeply To be seen is what I yearn Am I not worthy of affection Am I not worthy of love And though I don't want to admit it I want what other people have But those words will never be spoken My pride won't allow anyone to see I will only crumble in silence Begging to change my prophecy
