The Place I Thought Was Foreve
I found a place that felt so right, a quiet home, a gentle light, where every laugh would softly stay and chase the lonely dark away. The walls held warmth I couldn’t see, yet felt like they were made for me, each moment whispered, don’t let go, like time itself would always flow. I gave my heart without a doubt, left pieces of my soul about, believing what I held so tight would never fade, would never die. But “forever” bends… it doesn’t break, it slowly starts to drift and shake, until the hands that felt like home become too distant to hold on. And still I ask, though time has passed, how did something so real never last— was it forever in my mind, or just me being foolishly blind?
