One is walking down a road Carrying burdens bestowed Inside, eyes, they think while others, they blink They shut, immediately open wide To find it's completely dark outside Hands and ears look around Gain the city map surround But they sense objects moving These sounds' sounds sound so soothing The pitch black in its presence Brings forth a magnificent florescence Cogs inside eyes can't gear it But their eyes, see? They can hear it The colors filling the pathways The shades of gray in onscreen displays The darkness gives one hights of ability To see there's no need for subtlety Just show in the show what one's will wills Let all other's ayes consume their fills Give them what's due, endorphin pills Free them with the chains of cheap thrills Feed them sulfur from the infant mills A feat depressing hour's glass that kills When a heart that's been beaten stills
