The Pillow's Embrace
In the quiet solitude of night, when shadows softly creep, I find myself alone again, with silent tears to weep. The pillow is my comfort, in the dark where dreams are lost, It soaks the sorrow from my heart, no matter what the cost. The world outside is far away, with laughter, light, and cheer, But here within my silent room, my sadness holds me near. The pillow is my confidant, the one who knows my fears, It cradles me with tender care, and gently wipes my tears. Each tear that falls, a whisper soft, of hopes that went astray, Of love that slipped between my hands, and dreams that could not stay. Yet in the pillow's soft embrace, I find a fleeting peace, A place where I can hide my pain, and let the heartache cease. No words are needed in this space, where silence speaks so loud, The pillow bears my broken heart, beneath its gentle shroud. It knows the depth of my despair, the ache I cannot show, And as I cry, it takes the weight, of all my hidden woe. So let the pillow hold my tears, in shadows of the night, For in its soft and quiet way, it brings a ray of light. A comfort in the darkest hours, a balm for weary hearts, The pillow is my silent friend, as every tear departs.
