The Perfect view
Today I went on a journey To find the most beautiful view possible, I first set my alarm to see the sunrise in the morning, But that was not good enough, After I drove to the ocean, The clear blue sky and crystal water, But that was not good enough, At night I pulled out my telescope, To view the universe, In all its breathless beauty, But that was not good enough, I went to the bedroom, Frustrated by my lack of success, But there you were, Your soft brown hair, Glimmering eyes, And a smile that melts my heart, How stupid I was to waste my day, When that view was home all along.
