The Perfect Role
The Perfect Role I’ve auditioned for many roles, in many plays, on many stages. None of them felt quite right. Something always went wrong, the light pointed in the wrong direction, The costume was a size too big or small. But most of all, I didn't feel happy. I felt like I was on the outside, looking in, Like I was meant to be off somewhere else, But forced to live the life of someone else. Then, I took a leap. I went searching and found me. Finally, I am playing a role that is meant to be. One that, I don’t have to hide behind, Don’t have to rip the dress to make it fit. The shoes fit like Cinderella's glass slipper. I’ve found the perfect role for me, And She is me!
