In the past two weeks, my heart did burst, My worst nightmare came, my joy dispersed. Lost all I loved, life's cruel twist, Yet in their cuddles, my soul found its tryst. Best friends so dear, always by my side, In their warm presence, my fears would hide. One flew to heaven on gentle wings, Leaving memories, precious things. Still, I held onto my dearest friend, But fate's harsh hand had another end. In silence, she slipped away, Leaving me with words unsay.
