The pain of words
The glass, the razor, the knife, the mark. Words cut deeper than any of those above. –A cold blade, a twist in the heart. leaving deep and unhealable scars. To pray, to plead, to beg, to cry. if they don't want you, it's always goodbye. –A cold shoulder, another stab in the heart. Eyes hold hatred which once held love. To cling, to stick, to grasp, to clutch. Ones heart can only bare this much. –And then a simple word. Turns hope to dust. The glass, the razor, the knife, the mark, the praying, the pleading, the begging, the crying, the clinging, the sticking, the grasping and the clutch. Was all of the heartbreak.. worth this much? To be able to look in the mirror, without feeling disgust. To hug my own body and feel love. To smile with my teeth and laugh. To be carefree and filled with self love. only if some words weren't spoken, I could've accepted myself.
