the only one who noticed.
you were the only one to notice. the only one to notice my love for reading returning. the only one to call me a nerd, the only one who noticed the way my words come together. you told me, "The way you write words is perfect" you're the only one to notice my love for writing. you called me talented. but that wasn't enough. being talented, smart, or even great person in your eyes, wasn't enough. it wasn't enough I can't get the words you said out of my head. it wasn't enough that in my mind I'm still there, sun-kissed in june. it's not enough that the summer calls with you reassuring me you loved me, you repeating the fact you did. is still stuck in my head. you don't want to upset me but you already have. I'm not easy to make cry and yet you have me in a lake of my own tears, and a puddle of my own blood from biting my lip to keep myself from screaming and waking everyone up. I've given you everything I could. I've been everything I could. if I couldn't, I at least tried. but you were the only one who noticed and nothing was enough.
