The one who lived
Four sisters born- one sister living, three sisters who lived, four sisters born. One sister who lived- so proud, so outspoken, she is the embodiment of justice itself. Another sister who lived- so caring, so passionate, there is no other who believed as much as this sister who lived! One more sister who lived- so naive, so precious, her heart belongs to her pencil and paper. One sister living- so shy, so quiet, she lives on- and as she does so, she tells of those who have lived. Afterword: This poem is inspired by I book I had to read for school lol.. "In the Time of the Butterflies" by Julia Alvarez.
