The Ocean
Waves ripple against my face I gasp for air Desperate to breathe My body feels numb There's no fighting the sea A wave engulfs me It tosses me around And eventually onto shore I'm too exhausted to move People swarm me Their faces full of worry Then i feel warmth The familiar rough hand Pressing against mine I hear a soft whisper 'Everything will be okay You're okay' I've never believed those words More than i do now
