The Night You Saw Me
A tale as old as time and life: a girl who's broken and her lover who knows nothing of her strife. Ha! As though my life was a fairytale... The confusion of life gets translated to a different kind of braille. An endless story carved into my thighs - cloaked by a fabric woven by lies. Before each night be spent together I dim our bedroom's lights; It's easier than admitting my battles in the night. But some things can't be hidden forever - I tried my best to shield you from my endeavors. Maybe I'm more fragile, but you're so delicate; I don't want you to have to carry all my gory weight. But tonight you came home early and it took by surprise - and my heart completely shattered when I saw your misty eyes. When you walk into the bathroom - saw me sat on the floor, you knelt down beside me and I've never loved you more. You gently pried the silver sharp from my shaking hand... How to deal with my hurt - I'll never understand... "Oh, my darling, why would you hide this pain?" The softness in your voice cleanses my worries like the rain. I say to you, "I thought you'd want to leave me..." Turns out my fears were nothing more than my delusional beliefs..
