The Night
The stars did twinkle, the moon did shine, A long night stretched, all so divine. A cool breeze brought sweet delight, Unveiling wonders of the night. With questions and wonders, the night was rife, I pondered its essence, its mystery, its life. "What would it be like to be you?" I sighed, "Answers are many," the night replied. "Like a breeze in the heat of the summer's call, Or knowing an admirer, one and all. Like water in deserts, so vast and wide, A blanket of comfort when cold night abides." I thought night was darkness, bleak and cold, But it's full of sparks, vibrant and bold. Night lay before me, vast and free, With sights unseen, for me to see. It opened new doors, my fears did flee, Anxiety drifted far out to sea. I ventured into night's endless space, Devouring ideas, in its silent grace. It shook my soul, with a gentle might, Opened my eyes to the beauty of night. In its quiet, a miracle did rise, A journey from fear to the starlit skies. -Subham Shrek Rai
