"The New Me"
As I emerge, reborn and renewed, A novel iteration, with spirit imbued, I've learned to eschew life's frivolous din, And instead, focus on the path that lies within. The mistakes of yesteryear, now serve as guides, Illuminating the pitfalls, where I once resided, With hindsight's clarity, I've gleaned valuable insight, And fortified my resolve, to banish the darkness of night. To those who seek to rekindle what's past, Be warned: I've set boundaries, that will forever last, If you desire my presence, you must conform, To the standards I've established, or forever be reborn. So, if you're willing to adapt, and respect my newfound might, Then perhaps, we can forge a new bond, in the light of day and night, But, if you refuse to comply, and instead choose to stray, Then bid me adieu, and trouble me no more, I'll find my way.
