the moon want for the sun
In all the sky, both near and far, She drifts alone, a distant star A silent queen of shadowed light, She guards the secrets of the night. Yet in her heart, a quiet ache, A love that time could never shake. She waits for him — the morning's flame, Who never stays, yet speaks her name. She dances while the world’s asleep, But dreams of him in places deep. Their touch is brief, at break of day, A fading kiss, then pulled away. He rises high, she disappears, They’ve chased each other countless years. And though they’re cursed to live apart, She holds him in her silver heart. So every dusk, and every dawn, She watches him, then he is gone. And in that light, so warm, so true, She glows — because he once passed through.
