The monster you created.
Her happiness died, the child she was faded. She was the monster you created. She wanted to look through those eyes filled with hatred. To know know why, you hated her. You killed that child. You killed her dreams. Her dreams became nightmares. Her nightmares became reality. Her reality became a nightmare, she couldn't wake up from. She was not the monster. She had to kill the part of her that saw, to live.
