The monster when I eat
Whispers in my head Words I cannot escape, I feel him in the air His breath's on my neck And I don't want to listen When he says I eat too much That this bread will make me fat I'm covering my ears But he is under my skin The breakfast table is quiet But they don't hear my silent scream I stare at my plate coz I really want to eat But then I listen to him He says I don't need to eat As long as I am pretty As long as I am thin So I stand and take my leave Hand in hand With the monster that appears when I eat
