The monster under my bed
when i was a little one roaming around, splashing in puddles, and digging in the ground. when the sky darkened, covered in speckles, mom would tell me it's time with a chuckle. i would lay in my bed with darkness surroudning, till i hear that whisper that would make my chest feel as it's pounding. this creature beneath me slowly deseved me, as i lied there, hoping it wouldn't eat me. as i grow up and lie in bed, i hear different kinds of whispers said, but now from my head. whispers not from a monster beneath me, but a monster that i plea to let me be free. as my head fills with words that are peircing, i get a different way of now fearing. that monster under my bed is gone, so now a new type of monster has spawn.
