The mirror of time
Beneath the veil of ticking clocks, We drift through life in endless talks. Of plans and dreams yet unfulfilled. Of castles built of wishes willed. But pause dear soul and gaze within. The mirror knows where truth begins. What do you see behind the guise? A fleeting mask or timeless skies? Each morning dawns with questions deep, Will you awaken or merely sleep? The days are coins their worth untold Do you hoard them or spend them bold? Why chase the stars so far away? When beauty blooms in this very day? Why climb the mountains scale the heights? And miss the treasures of quiet nights? The faces you meet, the paths you tread. The whispered words, the books you’ve read. Do they linger or fade like mist? What will remain when none exist? For life’s a riddle sweet and strange. Its answers shift its meanings change. So question all and doubt the norm. Find truth in chaos in the storm. And when your hourglass runs dry. And winds of time bid you goodbye. Will you depart with a weary sigh, Or a soul ablaze ready to fly?
