The Minstrel's Fun
The minstrel traveled everywhere His work was never done But healing the worn and sick Just wasn't lots of fun So he took a day off To find fun things to do He told me all about it And now I'm telling you He took awhile to join some kids In an impromptu soccer game But then he found he had to aid A child whose leg had gone all lame He went swimming in the ocean And truly enjoyed the cooling water Yet as he came out he helped a man Who'd lost his little daughter He visited a winery a little later Where he rescued a lady who had fainted It seems a cad had given her Some wine that was quite tainted So what the minstrel found out that day Was that even while having fun It was his lot in the life he led To gladly help out everyone
