The memoirs of pain
See that beaming light, Thats him, as he cruises by, 60 mph.... He struggles to see, Heart like stone, Dead like ice, Unwavering. 90 mph... He strangles the bottle, As if he wants the glass to break, Just as his shattered soul, Into a million little pieces. 120mph.... He lifts the bottle to his mouth, And gulps deep on the whisky, His throat burns, as he squints, To hide the pain, that burdens him, Of memories that taunt him. 145mph.... He is no more, just a shell, Inhabited by ghosts, of a past, He tries to forget, as finally he hugs the tree, No more...Lest you forget, This is, the story of an emotionally unavailable being.
