The Madness
Planning an escape: mostly wrong ways. Road blocks, dead ends. Speed bumps. No side quests, ice cream shops. Velocity has slowed. Lost what's right, but left with time to think. Though even that can cause an issue. The outside shrinks, becoming distant. What even is it? Drawing me inward. A tractor beam of a people pleaser. No light pouring through the cracks when then world beyond is darkened. Night. Black. Not a silence, nor a hum, can be heard over this pounding headache. Internal war drum. Consistence in pain. Common time builds the sadness. Always in hopes a big heart can beat The Madness.
