The love that never was
How is it possible to love someone you've never met? How can you miss a presence you’ve never felt? Why can’t I just move on from this pain? A year has passed, yet the wounds haven’t healed. I carry memories—our first conversations, your voice, your laugh. I never saw you, but I loved you more than I ever thought possible. I had a chance to tell you, and I did, but I lost you because you were afraid to lose your friends. We both feared pushing this, afraid of losing each other forever. Now you’re happy with someone else, and I’m still here, holding on to the regret that I didn’t fight for you, that I didn’t make it work. It hurts, but I can’t let go, because loving you, even in the pain, feels like the only thing I can do.
