The Love That Never Reached Me
"" I loved you in silence, where echoes don’t call, In the spaces between your laughter and walls. I traced constellations across your skin, But you never turned to let me in. I spoke in a language only my heart knew, A dialect of longing, soft and true. But love is not heard when it's only one voice, And fate never asked me to make this choice. I stood where the moonlight touched your face, A witness to love that left no trace. I was the wind that brushed through your hair, A fleeting ghost, a whispered prayer. You held your world in hands not mine, And I remained a poet, rewriting the line— A story where I was meant to be seen, But love never wrote me into your dream. So I gather my heart, in pieces, untold, And bury the warmth that once burned bold. For love unreturned is a fire that dies, Leaving only ashes in tear-stained skies.
