the love i wish for
i wish to be looked upon as a disney princess, as a princess in general. i dream of falling in love with the one who only has eyes for me, the one i’ll randomly bump into, the one who only sees me in a crowded room full of girls. i want to be a princess. i want to be in love, just like the disney movies. the way they look at each other, with such admiration, such love, their eyes— it says it all. i don’t think words can explain the love in disney movies. it’s ineffable. just like the love in fluffy romance books, that’s the love i want to experience. but in real life, it doesn’t seem like there’s any of that. everything feels so twisted. the love, the hate, they entwine. nothing’s perfect. when will i not have to try to keep yearning, to keep grieving, to keep trailing this path of sorrow just to find the one for me? when will i find my love? the one who treats me like a disney princess, the one who carries me in his arms, the one who brings me flowers, the one who brings me happiness, the one who knows my favourite colour, who knows my birthday, who knows me. when will i find the one who makes me jump up and down when i see him. when will i find the one who makes me giddy, at the smallest thought of him.
