THE LORD OF HOSTS IS WITH US

Though mountains crumble into sea's embrace And roaring waters foam with furious grace Though earth gives way and mountains quake with might We stand unshaken in celestial light For God our refuge, strength in troubled hour An ever-present help, a fortress tower Therefore we will not fear the darkest night Nor tremble at the overwhelming fright There flows a river, streams of pure delight That make God's city glad with holy light The dwelling place where Most High makes His throne A sacred space where love and peace are sown God dwells within her walls, she shall not fall At break of day He answers every call While nations rage and kingdoms turn to dust In Him alone we place our perfect trust He lifts His voice and earth begins to melt Before His power every fear has knelt The Lord Almighty stands beside us here The God of Jacob banishes all fear Come see the works His mighty hand has wrought The desolations that His power brought In chaos and in calm, through storm and peace His faithful promises will never cease Though worlds may tremble and foundations shake No power of darkness can our souls break For in the tempest, in the fire's test Our God provides a place of perfect rest.
