THE LONG ROAD HOME
In teenage shadows, I struggled to find My place in this world through tears left behind Never the favourite, a mistake in their eyes Compared to my sister I couldn't deny The feeling of being wrong, a voice unspoken A fight to belong, with chains unbroken Tryna find my place, in this family line But it's hard when you're the one always left behind Love, a word that's lost its meaning to me A feeling hard to find when you're not the priority I'm searching for a place to belong But it's hard when you're the one who's wrong In a world that's not mine, I'm tryna find my way Break the chains of doubt, and seize the day Maybe someday, I'll learn to love myself And find my voice, in a brand new wealth But till then, I'll just pretend That I'm okay and love will come again
