The long night
The nightcore songs still remind me of those days— the long roadside walks, where home felt so far away, yet neither of us wanted to arrive. We talked until the night slowly turned into light, sharing little pieces of ourselves, random thoughts, silly stories no one else would understand. We laughed at the same old things, teased each other the same old way, and somewhere between those moments my heart quietly whispered: “I enjoyed this… more than words can say.” As the night passed, my thoughts spoke like two seasons inside me. One half, winter— softly asking, “What if this is only temporary? What if this becomes goodbye?” The other half, summer— holding onto the warmth, saying, “No… I could live inside moments like this forever. There is still so much left to feel, so much left to live.” And even now, when the streets grow quiet, I still remember those nights— our laughter in the dark, unfinished conversations, and the warmth that stayed like summer refusing to fade.
