The Lonely Prince A prince so fair, with eyes of gold, A smile that shone, a heart turned cold. They called him charming, strong, and wise — The perfect dream in every girl's eyes. They whispered his name in hopeful sighs, "He'll come for me — my love will rise." Each girl waited for their destined chance, To share his world, to hold his glance. But no one asked what lay inside, The burdens he bore, the tears he'd hide. No one wondered if his heart felt torn, Or if his smile was tired and worn. They wanted his crown, his hand to hold, But never his fears, his nights so cold. He stood on stages with royal grace, But no one cared to see his face. "Be strong," they said, "Be brave and bold!" "A prince must shine like sculpted gold." Yet when he stumbled, when his voice would shake, No one stayed to soothe his ache. He longed for someone who’d simply wait, To stand beside him without fate. Not a soul chasing his charm or crown — Just someone there when his world crashed down.
