The little girl
I miss the little girl who was always happy, With a bright smile that never seemed to fade, She loved her dolls and her Barbie collections, And in the park, she loved to play. Her laughter filled the air with joy, As she skipped and ran around, She saw the world as a beautiful place, With endless possibilities to be found. But now that little girl has grown, And the world has left its mark, She looks in the mirror with tears in her eyes, Feeling lost and broken in the dark. She used to love life and all its wonders, But now she's trapped in a cage of doubt, Her Barbie dolls sit in a dusty corner, And the parks have lost their playful shout. She longs to feel that happiness again, To embrace life with open arms, But the weight of expectations and insecurities, Have caused her to sound the alarm. Oh, how I miss the little girl, With her carefree and innocent ways, She was unapologetically herself, Before society's standards led her, Her light still shines deep within, And I hope one day she'll find her smile again, And l hope one day she'll find her smile again, And let the little girl's happiness win. For she is loved and cherished, Just the way she is, And the little girl inside her will always be missed.
