The Little Girl
I cut to see the red lines of my body To see that what I'm going through is real I hold the razor in my hand as tears drip from my eyes I cut and I slice hoping to see blood To show that I'm real But I see no red liquid I try to sharpen But nothing changes I don't change My life doesn't change So I use the blade to change my skin My beautiful legs, torn apart by a little girl's feelings By a little girl who cries out for her mommy For her daddy For someone to hug her and say that they're there That she's real That her emotions are not something to laugh at But in the end She's alone Sobbing on her carpet Wishing that someone would walk in and realize that she's not okay The little girl inside her wants to be cradled To be babied But until she gets her comfort She finds it somewhere else In a blade so dull that she can't feel it That she wished would carve into her skin To feel her emotions physically Someone please Im drowning Drowning in fear and guilt and pain Please God end me before I end myself
