The Light to a Darkness
Your words they cut like a dull knife they rip and tear unclean The words you use to describe me so harsh, untrue, and obscene. And after each attack I lay bleeding on the ground Then you try to speak to me like you'd never said a thing But my bleeding heart still remembers every word, and wretches in my chest with pain. Narcissistic, egotistical, self centered and filled with rage and hate You work tirelessly to reduce my self worth and instill in me, self hate All to make yourself feel better about all the things you lack Monsters eyes glow in the darkness, but your eyes are pitch black. You are one of the soul less inside you is a dark void You want to take my light from me and inside yourself exploit it I will not let you dim my light, I will not let you plant in me, seeds of hate-- You are not the master of me and it's not you who will decide my fate. I am stronger than your darkness I know the beauty of my light. It is you who will sit alone, in the darkness of eternal night. And I will stand on yonder hill, A beacon shining bright. Nothing in this world can put out or steal my heart and all of its light.
