The Light of The Saints
THE LIGHT OF THE SAINTS 1 Today they gather in pure light, All the heavenly Saints in rich glory. They pray and sing to You, Lord, Lord, to You we return as we. 2 Through their holy sacrifice, through tears and longing, They wrote love on earth in flight. With blood and grace they bore heavy trials, Carrying the cross of life with a chosen heart. 3 Far in the light, now they are crowned, Angels and Saints gather in song. They shine like bright stars, Carrying us in mystery through passing times. 4 In fierce battles, in pain and sorrow, They bore witness to holy power. And in eternal glory, Saints keep watch, With divine mercy they surround us all. 5 From fields of blood, from empty prisons, Living flowers of holiness have sprung. In the name of the Cross they walked to the end, Receiving the crown of life as they came. 6 O Lord, through the Saints You strengthen our path, In the heart You place light, patience. Through them may we know Your pure face, The wondrous, unending spring. 7 O Saints, dwellers of the Kingdom, Bring your message to the world: Of peace, of love, of giving, Of pure sacrifice and salvation. 8
