The Life I Thought I'd Have
I imagined a two story house with a blue wooden paneled exterior house with a red door I imagined three or four little kids running around that house Running around the backyard I imagined having all the pets my partner would allow I imagined a life where I would control what I did on any given day But I do not get the privilege of having the life I thought I'd have Pain is a constant in my body Like a car slamming into a house The force barely comparing to the pain that never quits I never have a break from it It's dibilitating Crushing Depressing I do not have control over anything anymore I will not get the life I thought I'd have Seeing healthy people walking around the streets is killing me I use a cane at 23 I never imagined using a cane at 23 I never could've imagined anything happening to me Who could imagine a life of literal physical pain ? Who would ever think that's something that would happen to them ? No one I never imagined I'd be someone with chronic illnesses I'll never get the life I thought I'd have
