THE LETTER NEVER ANSWERED
think of a first light that never became sunrise or budding blooms that never flowered fully tis a letter delivered to me wrapped in golden paper wafting of exotic scents and penned in great detail a declaration of love undying I read this dispatch amid confusion not knowing what to say "in the torrents bathing the rainforest you are the huge oak tree that I shall shelter under until the sun awakens in the scorching desert sun you are the mirage, the hope that kills in the quest to fill voids, you are the plenty I shall hope for" my eyes turn teary, my nose runny how on earth is someone to respond?
