The Leap Of Faith
To an overstretched sea of wonders And the dreamy tower that looms behind Cries a distant soul caught between dreams And the wonders that so much bind. It feels empty, even with all the sparkle For it doesn't accentuate the worth he had In eyes for himself and the world he inhabits That will soon tell his ideas to be bad. The fish swims, and eye him from below Almost empathising with him for a moment For one is stuck on land, and the other in air The cage is very real, capturing their lament. The freedom is inbetween, in the balance A balance of wonders and no dissonance Of a rebel, his madness, experiments, love Where flies the white, patchy, little dove. Where the ever lasting sea of wonders Is neither too dark, nor too bright But reachable to the the hands of the soul Who cannot ever, behold its sight. He climbed but there is no way down He climbed but realised their is a sky above Until to the soul the fish finally says, 'With fear you jump, mending your ways'... And the soul finally jumps Taking the leap of faith And above the river and below the tower Now the soul finally stays.
